Terms of Service
Last updated [DATE]
These terms are the agreement between you and [ENTITY NAME] (“we”, “us”), who operate Slothpilot. By creating an account or using the software, you accept them. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.
1. What Slothpilot does
Slothpilot searches job boards for roles matching the criteria you set, completes application forms using information you have given us, and submits those applications.
It does this in two parts. A website holds your account, your CVs, your target roles and your application history. A separate application, which you install on your own computer, does the actual applying — in a browser on your machine, over your internet connection, signed into your job board accounts. We do not operate browsers on your behalf and we never hold your job board passwords.
Supported boards are listed on our site and may change. We do not control those boards and cannot guarantee continued compatibility with them.
2. Applications are yours
This is the most important term here. Every application Slothpilot submits is submitted as you, by you, from your own account. You are the applicant. You are responsible for what is sent, including the accuracy of your CV, your answers to screening questions, and any cover letter generated for you.
You agree that the information you give us is truthful, and that you will review what the software is doing on your behalf. The dashboard records every application, its outcome, and the answers given, so you can.
Where the software cannot determine a truthful answer — a date of birth, an identification number, anything personal that is not in your profile — it leaves the question for you rather than guessing.
3. Automation and job board rules
Some job boards restrict automated access in their own terms of use. Using Slothpilot may conflict with the terms of a board you hold an account with. You are responsible for deciding whether to use it, and the account that could be affected is your own.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any job board or employer. We cannot prevent a board from restricting or closing your account, and we are not liable if one does.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement.
- One account per person. Don’t share your login.
- Use it to apply for jobs for yourself. Applying on behalf of other people, or operating it as a service for others, is not permitted without our written agreement.
- You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
5. Fair use and limits
Accounts have a daily and monthly application limit, shown in your dashboard. These exist because each application costs us money to produce, and because volume without judgement is bad for you and for employers. We may adjust limits, and will tell you if we change the limits that apply to a paid plan you are on.
You must not attempt to circumvent these limits, resell access, or use the service to send misleading applications.
6. Free trial, payment and cancellation
New accounts include a number of free applications, stated on our pricing page, with no card required. After that, continuing requires a subscription.
Payments are handled by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record and as the seller for your purchase. Your contract for the purchase itself is with Paddle, and their terms apply to it alongside these. We never see or store your card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
7. What we don’t promise
We do not promise you a job, an interview, or a reply. We do not promise a particular number of matching listings — that depends on the market, your criteria, and what employers post.
The service is provided as it is. Job boards change their websites without warning, and when they do, parts of Slothpilot can stop working until we adapt. We aim to keep it running and will not always succeed immediately.
8. Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or exposes us to legal risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account for a reason other than your breach, we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. We are not liable for lost job opportunities, lost income, or action taken by a job board or employer against your account.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will give reasonable notice by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — e.g. the Republic of the Philippines], and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of [CITY/JURISDICTION].
